Major autoresponder services also have tracking features - by using that service, you can track which of your links are getting clicks and which aren't - over time, you can evaluate each e-mail in the series and tweak those that are underperforming. Good explantion of the difference between the follow up and the broadcast. One thing you might want to add is if you do find an evergreen product and you write a successful email it is always a good idea to add it to your series.
